What's this all about?

It's all about me. I'm Enver ALTIN, yet another cute programmer living in Istanbul, Turkey. Some weird people do think the stuff I've done by mistakes are useful. Even some of them are in public use by LKD. For those who are curious about what I'm able to do and what I've done in the past; my resume is available online and Google tells way lot more about me than the resume could ever tell.

So you're a hacker?

Well, yes. Depends on how you get the meaning. A hacker is the one who enjoys designing, implementing and fixing problems within computer software. Most people get it wrong. I do NOT break firewalls, create viruses/trojans or intrude servers owned by the government.

What else?

I've decided to move my personal diary online and change the way I'm updating it. I believe it will become useful for people searching for the stuff I have already found, been and done. I'll try to write about the places I'll visit, people I'll met and conferences I'll attend from now on.

Want to know more?

Well, I'm reading more than 1,000 e-mails everyday but if you really do have something to ask, feel free to contact me by e-mail. I prefer e-mail over any other way of communication including voice phone and SMS. Please try e-mail first and be patient.

By the way, in many cases it's much better to ask the question to a relevant mailing list or newsgroup.

New look!

Icons, colors and layout was mostly stolen from the Nuvola icon theme for GNOME. Tell me what you think, drop me a line.

Updated stuff!

I've tried to categorize the content and provided links between most documents.

Images look ugly?

It's the Microsoft® Internet ExplorerTM; incorrectly displaying RGBA PNG images. Try Mozilla, you won't go back.

Best viewed...

Site looks best in 1024x768 resolution using Mozilla. I haven't tried anything else. If you think it looks weird for you, send me a screenshot. I'll try to fix it.
